- CENTER FOR CREATIVE LEADERSHIP (CCL): the mission of the Center for Creative Leadership is to advance the understanding, practice, and development of leadership for the benefit of society worldwide. CCL offers on on-line newsletter.
- CLIFTON STRENGTHSFINDER CENTER: the Clifton StrengthsFinder Center is a resource for readers of the books Now, Discover Your Strengths, by Marcus Buckingham and Donald O. Clifton, PhD, and Discover Your Sales Strengths, by Benson Smith and Tony Rutigliano.
- INSTITUTE FOR GLOBAL ETHICS: the mission is to promote ethical behavior in individuals, institutions, and nations through research, public discourse, and practical action.
- INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP ASSOCIATION (ILA): the ILA is a global network for people who practice, study, and teach leadership. The ILA is a membership-based association serving all those with an interest in leadership.
- INTERNATIONAL POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY ASSOCIATION (IPPA): The mission of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) is to promote the science and practice of positive psychology and to facilitate communication and collaboration among researchers and practitioners around the world who are interested in positive psychology.
- JAMES MACGREGOR BURNS ACADEMY OF LEADERSHIP: the Academy of Leadership at the University of Maryland fosters principled leadership through scholarship, education, and training, with special attention to advancing groups historically underrepresented in leadership.
- NATIONAL CLEARINGHOUSE FOR LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS (NCLP): housed at the University of Maryland, the NCLP provides a central clearinghouse of leadership materials, resources, and assistance to leadership educators. Access to materials is provided through membership in NCLP.
- ROBERT K. GREENLEAF CENTER FOR SERVANT LEADERSHIP: the focus of the Greenleaf Center is to support people who choose to serve first, and then lead as a way of expanding service to individuals and institutions.
- STRENGTHSQUEST: StrengthsQuest, Gallup's strengths development program for college-age students, gives people the opportunity to develop strengths by building on their greatest talents - the way in which they most naturally think, feel, and behave as unique individuals. Grounded in Positive Psychology and the Clifton StrengthsFinder, StrengthsQuest has helped more than 400,000 students, staff, and faculty members on 600 campuses achieve academic, career, and personal success. This economically tailored program is more than just an access code or assessment. Gallup provides extensive resources, events & training, and a set of Web-based activities (an online book , your personal online journal, a discussion forum, development activities and resources, and more!).
- W. K. KELLOGG FOUNDATION: the Foundation sponsors publications and resources on leadership for various professions and fields.
Journals & Publications
- INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF LEADERSHIP STUDIES: a refereed scholarly, multidisciplinary journal that exists to provide a forum for leadership scholars within the U.S. and around the world. Formerly known as the Journal of Organizational Leadership, IJLS has intensified its publishing requirements and has expanded its focus to include global perspectives on leadership.
- JOURNAL OF LEADERSHIP & ORGANIZATIONAL STUDIES (JLOS): The Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies (JLOS) is published quarterly to advance the knowledge and practice of leadership and organizations. JLOS deals with all aspects of leadership and organizations to serve as a forum for the expression of theory, research and practice, with special emphasis given to emerging ideas, issues, trends, and innovations. This could include such diverse topics or organizational settings as: civic, grassroots, corporate, non-profit/philanthropic, educational, international, political, or military. JLOS is published by Baker College in Flint, Michigan.
- LEADERSHIP QUARTERLY: The Leadership Quarterly is an international journal of political, social, and behavioral science dedicated to advancing theory, research, and applications concerning leadership. Contributions to thinking about leadership are desired from many disciplinary perspectives, including political science, sociology, economics, anthropology, psychology, and history. Equally desirable are contributions from interdisciplinary fields such as human resource management, international management, administrative science, strategic management, labor studies, and organization theory and behavior. The aim of the journal is to present scholarly research, theory, and developmental application from the diverse fields of inquiry about leadership.
- LEADERSHIP REVIEW: this Journal is for both academicians and practitioners in the field of leadership. This is a multidisciplinary publication sponsored by the Kravis Leadership Institute at Claremont McKenna College.
- UNDERGRADUATE LEADERSHIP REVIEW: promotes undergraduate leadership development, providing a forum for undergraduate students of leadership studies, professors at the undergraduate level and collegiate staff involved in leadership development to publish their scholarships and experiences. Founded in 2007 by students, staff and faculty of Christopher Newport University, Undergraduate Leadership Review is published twice annually.
